Qualifications

• Completion of Phlebotomy Technician training.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and collect specimens following SOPs.
• Collect specimens from peripheral veins, Port-A-Caths, or IV lines.
• Provide patient instruction and comfort during collection.
• Perform POC testing and QC documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of LIS and EMR systems.
• Train new phlebotomists as required.
• Adhere to safety procedures and Universal Precautions.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and equipment evaluation.
