Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to accurately identify patients and perform phlebotomy procedures following safety regulations. You will work under the supervision of the Pre-analytical Coordinator or Medical Technologists in a busy outpatient oncology/hematology clinic.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens via venipuncture, performing POC testing, and maintaining LIS/EMR documentation while following universal precautions and regulatory

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational abilities with task prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients as outlined in SOP and collect specimens from peripheral veins, Port-A-Caths, or IV lines.
• Perform POC testing and document QC per regulatory requirements.
• Assist patients to the appropriate location after lab work and provide necessary instructions.
