Job summary

Texas Oncology in Flower Mound is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekends, on-call, or major holidays.

Level 1 may be entry level; Level 2 requires three years of experience; Level Sr requires five or more years. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing, QA documentation and adherence to OSHA and CLIA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Entry level position; no experience required (Level 1).
• Three years of experience (Level 2).
• Five+ years of experience (Level Sr).

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered.
• Maintains QA documentation, logs and checklists.
• Maintains supplies inventory and ensures viability of items.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories for testing not done in house.
• Updates daily paperwork, lab logs and maintenance logs.
• Identifies and bands patients for blood product transfusion.
