Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I/II to support filling prescriptions and preparing IV admixtures under supervision. The role includes interpreting orders, assisting pharmacists, and performing a range of technical and clerical duties across outpatient and hospital settings.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3–6 months of experience, and a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license with temporary-to-permanent licensure within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–6 months of experience and/or training in hospital, retail pharmacy or equivalent preferred.
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician license (temporary to permanent) required upon hire with licensure within one year.
• PTCB certification required by the State of Michigan to transition to permanent licensure.
• Math and basic algebra skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze data from systems and equipment to plan actions with pharmacists.
• Effective communication with pharmacists, hospital personnel and customers.
• Ability to maintain positive professional relationships and show self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions and preparing IV admixtures.
• Interpret, transcribe and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Fill orders for review by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Inventory management including restocking, rotation of stock and expired medication removal.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and assist in patient care as required.
• Perform duties across outpatient/retail and hospital pharmacy settings.
