Job summary
Astera Cancer Care in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead the Technician staff, ensure inventory accuracy, and support billing compliance for infusion and retail pharmacy operations.
The role requires licensed Michigan Pharmacy Technician credentials and experience in oncology settings; a business administration degree is preferred. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered and the on-site position provides healthcare benefits.
Qualifications
- Licensed Michigan Pharmacy Technician with current credentials.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
- Experience in retail and/or infusion pharmacy, oncology and management preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage Pharmacy Technician workloads and assign tasks for optimal performance.
- Monitor staff performance and document noteworthy instances.
- Conduct formal performance reviews with management and discuss with employees.
- Take corrective action for substandard performance, attendance, or punctuality.
- Oversee scheduling and reimbursement records for travel and time.
- Assist in training new technicians and reconcile pharmacy claims.
