Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support chemotherapy management at Teton Cancer Institute. Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; licensure required by Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• National Certification as CPhT is preferred; BLS certification current.
• Experience: Training equivalent to one year beyond high school; two years related experience.
• Equipment/Technology: Ability to use hospital information systems, automated dispensing devices and basic computer functions.

Responsabilités

• Support chemotherapy management, including sterile compounding and input of data.
• Assist pharmacists in oral chemotherapy management and prescription refills.
• Oversee staff working in oral chemotherapy; coordinate patient care and communication with outside pharmacies.
• Verify benefits and help coordinate patient assistance programs as needed.
• Ensure proposed treatments align with medical necessity per insurance requirements.
