Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Oncology team. The role focuses on sterile compounding for chemotherapy, supporting pharmacists with oral chemotherapy management, and coordinating patient services to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities include verifying benefits, coordinating patient assistance programs, and ensuring medical necessity aligns with insurance requirements. Supervision by a physician and/or pharmacist provides guidance and quality control.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho Pharmacy Technician license required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPhT certification preferred.
• Two years of related experience recommended; training equivalent to one year beyond high school.

Responsibilities

Mountain View Hospital is looking for an Pharmacy Tech to join our team!Job Summary:This position provides a multitude of role functions associated with oral and IV chemotherapy management at Teton Cancer Institute. These functions include sterile compounding, assisting pharmacists in oral chemotherapy management, overseeing employees working in oral chemotherapy and prescription refills, as well as developing processes to improve patient care and communication with outside pharmacies. . Those in this role will prepare sterile USP<797> and <800> compounds, input computer data, and provide all aspects of customer service that are required to provide Oncology Department services. Verifying benefits and help to coordinate patient assistance programs when necessary. Checks proposed treatment to make sure the diagnosis will support medical necessity as per insurance company.
