Vail Health's Shaw Cancer Center in Edwards, CO is hiring an Oncology Pharmacy Tech to support the on-site pharmacist with daily oncology operations, compounding sterile preparations, inventory, and billing tasks.

Requirements include one year pharmacy tech experience, two years sterile compounding, and Colorado Pharmacy Technician Certification (PHAT). Pay is $24.28–$33.51 per hour, full-time days; benefits include parental leave, tuition assistance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

One year of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
Two years of sterile compounding experience required.
State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician Certification (PHAT) required.

Responsibilities

Accurately and timely fill medication orders, replenish Pyxis MedStations while ensuring proper storage and security.
Accurately prepare IV admixtures or other sterile preparations as per policy.
Lead in ordering drugs and supplies; manage receiving, storing, and rotating stock to maintain inventory levels.
Adhere to USP standards, logs, cleaning, testing, and preparation guidelines.
Follow safety protocols for radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, and dust.
Monitor controlled medications inventory in the C-II safe and resolve Pyxis discrepancies.
