Job summary

The Ambulatory Pharmacist Specialist at Moffitt Cancer Center is dedicated to the mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. Working in the Clinic Pharmacy, this role provides safe, evidence-based medication management as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The pharmacist will dispense, monitor therapy, educate patients and staff, coordinate with physicians, and support prior authorizations to reduce financial barriers while leading selected clinical initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• FL RPh License.
• Minimum of 3 years institutional or specialty pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs and oversees drug distribution duties, including chemo and non-chemo orders, ensuring safe and effective dosing.
• Collaborates with prescribers for drug therapy and preventive care coordination.
• Coordinates and provides medication therapy education.
• Manages the medication use process to improve workflow, quality, and safety.
• Oversees and guides support personnel and daily activities.
• Supports insurance prior authorizations to lower financial barriers.
• Assists in implementing clinical initiatives and projects.
