Job summary
Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida seeks an Ambulatory Pharmacist dedicated to contributing to cancer prevention and care. The pharmacist works in Clinic Pharmacy (Specialty Pharmacy) to provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, patient-centered medication management as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The role involves clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and staff in ambulatory clinics, accurate dispensing, patient care monitoring, and assisting with insurance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and FL RPh license required.
- Pharm.D. preferred; ACLS certification advantageous.
- Three years of progressive institutional oncology or specialty pharmacy experience or PG-Y1 residency.
- Board certification in ambulatory care/oncology/specialty pharmacy preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and staff in ambulatory clinics.
- Dispense medications accurately and monitor patient therapy in the ambulatory setting.
- Assist in insurance prior authorizations and lowering financial barriers to medications for ambulatory patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary ambulatory care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
