Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician Lead at The Cancer & Hematology Centers reports to Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and provides education of departmental policies and procedures. Provides training, education, and direction to technician staff and serves as a supervisor extender. Maintains consistent communication across all CHC pharmacy locations.

Provides support to the leadership team for reporting and quality initiatives. Works as a pharmacy technician in addition to the lead duties stated above.

Qualifications

• Michigan Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Retail pharmacy or Infusion pharmacy experience; Oncology and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technician Lead will have primary work duties either to infusion or retail pharmacy as applicable.
• Create training modules and competencies based on CHC policies and procedures for technician staff.
• Complete and monitor required reports on specific frequencies.
• Monitors staff while working and provides redirection in procedures as needed and ensures excellent customer service.
• Helps ensure correct inventory control.
• All other duties as assigned.
