Job summary

CentraCare Health in Willmar is seeking a Pharmacist to support the Cancer Center at Rice Memorial Hospital. You will collaborate with physicians, APNs, and nursing staff to optimize oncology treatment plans and verify chemotherapy orders. Supervise technicians and use EMR to ensure accuracy and safety in infusion therapies.

The role involves handling hazardous medications and providing clinical guidance to providers, nurses, and patients within established safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college.
• Current Minnesota Board of Pharmacy licensure.
• BLS training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, APNs, and nursing staff to optimize oncology plans.
• Review and verify oncology and infusion orders; oversee prep by pharmacy techs.
• Utilize EMR to ensure accuracy and compliance in medication therapies.
• Provide consultation and support on medication therapies and protocols to providers and nurses.
• Handle hazardous medications and chemotherapy agents according to safety standards.
