Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center seeks an Oncology Pharmacist to support the Palmer Medical Oncology Network Pharmacy locations in Norwin/Irwin & Greensburg, PA. This Regular Full-Time role has a Monday–Friday daylight schedule with no holidays or weekends and involves cross-site coverage.

You will collaborate with the oncology care team to optimize pharmacotherapy, manage dosing, and ensure cost-effective treatments while educating staff and supporting research initiatives.

Qualifications

Pharmacist licensed in PA or eligible for licensure in PA.
Completion of PharmD from an accredited school.
Experience in oncology or hospital pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret and verify orders for inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy and supportive care.
Monitor drug therapies and adjust based on labs and toxicities.
Collaborate with oncology team to optimize pharmacotherapy.
Manage drug procurement and formulary considerations.
Supervise technicians and ancillary staff.
Ensure regulatory compliance and quality management.
Provide drug information to clinicians and students.
Utilize electronic systems for prescribing and documentation.
Educate staff and learners on pharmacotherapy and safety.
