Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pharmacist to join the oncology team at Carle Foundation Hospital. You will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients and support specialty services across multiple disciplines, including hematology/oncology, urology, and research.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, medication therapy management, dosing optimization, and collaboration with the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with clinical pharmacy experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Clinical experience in hospital/oncology settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care to optimize prescribing, administration and monitoring.
• Provide MTM services and patient education as defined by state act.
• Determine dosing based on age, weight, and organ function.
• Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams.
• Prepare chemotherapy and investigational meds safely for trials.
• Attend rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary care for oncology patients.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and train new staff.
• Participate in research, policy development and safety initiatives.
