Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Director for US Oncology Payer/Market Access, based in a remote-capable role.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, alliance partners, and external agencies to inform strategies enabling patient access and business growth for current and future oncology indications. Lead payer value propositions, support field messaging, and participate in forecasting discussions for alliance and new products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Managed Care, or related fields.
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence senior management.
Experience with payer value propositions and market access strategies.

Responsibilities

Develop customer-specific payer and market access strategies with alliance partners and internal teams.
Support development of comprehensive payer/market access strategies aligned with brand objectives.
Contribute to payer value propositions and channel strategies for branded initiatives.
Lead messaging and field-facing communications with Oncology Sales and Key Accounts.
Provide input to Global Access Teams, HEOR, and business development opportunities.
Collaborate across functions (pricing, policy, legal, CORE, etc.) to build value propositions.
Support forecasting discussions for alliance and new product plans.
Understand patient cost impact for mono- and combo-therapy therapies.
