Job summary

Merck & Co. in the United States is seeking an Associate Director to shape and execute market access strategies for our PD-1 portfolio.

You will collaborate across payer, policy, research, and commercial teams to drive value propositions and pricing strategies. You will lead the development of payer initiatives, lifecycle management, and cross-functional implementation while navigating regulatory milestones and market access dynamics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years combined experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Marketing Customer Management, Managed Care or Sales.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills.
• Proactive nature and ability to manage change, anticipate risks and design controls or mitigation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Support the lifecycle management (LCM) strategy for our PD-1 asset.
• Work cross-functionally within our Company, including Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement, Market Research, policy team, Global Market Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, compliance, legal, pricing and others to develop customer specific strategies related to key regulatory and policy milestones.
• Develop comprehensive payer/ market access strategies and execute across relevant teams.
• Input into development and then execute on payer value propositions, pricing strategies, channel specific strategies and branded promotional initiatives.
