Yale New Haven Health (Smilow Cancer Hospital) is seeking an experienced oncology nurse educator to oversee patient education content, programs and processes. The role collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure education materials are evidence-based and appropriate for all patient education levels.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing, CT RN licensure, and at least five years of oncology nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of five years experience in oncology nursing.
• CT RN license required.

Responsabilités

• Standardize the process for providing patient education for cancer patients across Smilow Cancer Hospital.
• Assess current educational materials and methods and develop standards.
• Perform needs assessments for sites and disease teams.
• Develop and implement patient education and prevention programs and events.
• Review/approve/implement new patient education materials.
