Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 2 South Oncology unit. This full-time night shift role supports patient care under a nurse's supervision, assists with admissions/discharges, and upholds safety practices for patients with cancer and related conditions.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification within 90 days. CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or Navy Hospital Corps School completion are among acceptable credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• One of the listed care certifications or CNA/NCMA/NCPCT/Navy Hospital Corps School is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes.
• Follow patient safety policies and report changes to the nurse.
