UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff on a dedicated oncology unit. The PCT assists with daily living activities, monitors vital signs, and participates in basic therapies to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Candidates without PCT experience must complete a 7-day mandatory training course. Shifts run 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am with rotating holidays and weekends to meet patient needs.

Formación

• Experience as a Patient Care Technician or nursing assistant preferred.
• Must be willing to attend a 7-day mandatory PCT training course.
• Experience with ADLs, vital signs, I&O and specimen collection is valued.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient procedures and activities of daily living.
• Support physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies.
• Provide feedback to the RN and report changes in patient status.
• Carry out nursing assistant duties including blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O and specimen collections.
