Job summary

Summit Cancer Care, PC seeks a Patient Care Technician to join the oncology team under the supervision of the Practice Nurse Manager. The PCT will assist with patient care, vital sign collection, specimen handling as needed, and coordination of patient flow in clinic, infusion center, and lab areas.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, supporting staff, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant patient privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of direct patient care experience (preferred).
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire (required).
• Completion of an approved PCT/Medical Assistant/CNA/EMT or related healthcare training program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nursing staff to provide patient care and maintain efficiency.
• Obtain vital signs and document accurately in the EMR.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and infusion treatments.
• Assist with patient flow, mobility, and comfort during care.
• Maintain clean and stocked treatment areas and rooms between visits.
• Support orientation and training of new staff as requested.
