Job summary

Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Oncology Unit. This is a full-time, 36-hour weekly position with a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift (First/Days).

As an unlicensed staff member, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to provide delegated nursing care, support admissions and discharge, and uphold patient safety. A high school diploma and relevant CNA/NCMA/NCPCT training or certification are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. graduate or equivalent.
• Evidence of CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent program preferred.
• Basic patient care and safety training required (BLS within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition
