Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (MA) to join the 11 East Oncology team in Trinity Health Ann Arbor. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and support activities of daily living to patients with hematologic and oncologic illnesses.

Shifts available include 6:30 am–3:00 pm, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, and 10:30 pm–7:00 am.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of direct care experience (acute or long term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

Responsibilities

Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
The PCT assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
A PCT collects and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts and removes peripheral IV catheters; they are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
Patients served include adults with hematologic and oncologic illness, including solid tumors, malignancies, and terminal illness.
We offer a variety of therapeutic interventions, from chemotherapy to palliative care services.
