Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician for oncology units. Under RN supervision, you will deliver direct patient care and support daily activities to enhance patient comfort and safety.

The role requires completion of an accredited CNA training or nursing clinical rotation, current BLS certification, and at least one year of customer service experience or nursing assistant experience. Shifts are weekday with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• CNA training or nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical care.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred or prior nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care under supervision of RN.
• Assist with vital signs, EKG, Foley catheter, specimen collection, patient bathing and ambulation.
• Prepare patients for discharge and support care plan implementation.
• Support safety and high-quality patient experience on the unit.
