RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Medical Oncology unit at the New Brunswick campus. The role supports the Director in delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing services within a designated unit, blending clinical leadership with administrative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN, 3–5 years of leadership/charge experience as an RN, and Oncology nursing experience, with preferred MSN and certifications.

Qualifications

• Leadership/charge/preceptor experience in nursing leadership roles.
• Oncology nursing experience required.
• BSN degree required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to the unit.
• Communicates effectively with staff and manages resources.
• Assists the Director with daily unit operations and scheduling.
• Manages approximately 50% patient care duties.
• Prepares and maintains staff schedules and payroll.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to drive accountability.
