Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Patient Care Director – RN for the 10 West Bone Marrow Transplant unit. You will lead clinical nursing practice and coordinate oncology care, while guiding recruitment, retention, performance evaluation and budgeting in a magnet-designated academic medical center.

You will collaborate with board-certified physicians and a multidisciplinary team to drive quality, research opportunities and staff development.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing or related field; if already BSN.
Bachelor's or graduate degree in nursing required; Master’s program to be completed within 1 year of hire.
Current NYS RN licensure or willingness to obtain.
At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
Proven nursing leadership experience with mentoring, team building and strategic planning.
American Nurses Credentialing Center approved national board Certification required.

Responsibilities

Lead the leadership of clinical nursing practice for oncology care.
Oversee staff recruitment, retention and performance evaluation.
Manage supply chain and budget for the unit.
Lead quality improvement and regulatory survey readiness.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and physicians to coordinate patient care.
