Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to plan and implement professional nursing care on the 5 South Medical Telemetry/Oncology unit. You will assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires RN licensure in North Carolina or a compact state, with 1–2 years of related clinical experience preferred. Oncology/palliative care experience is valued, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current NC RN license or Compact state license.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and plans nursing care accordingly.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care.
• Serves as charge nurse as assigned.
• Administers medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintains accurate and relevant patient care records.
• Collaborates with Health System staff and medical team.
• Responds to life-threatening situations promptly.
