ClinLab Solutions Group is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, and schedulers within an oncology clinical research setting. The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with protocols.

The successful candidate will hold a BSN, maintain an active RN license, and have recent oncology experience with infusion support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; advanced degree in nursing or leadership preferred.
• Active RN license in good standing with the state.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate course required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Recent clinical experience in oncology, with ability to provide infusion support as needed.
• Knowledge of GCP, GDPR, and federal clinical research regulations required in the US and Europe.
• Previous experience in oncology clinical research preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time; fast-paced, deadline-driven healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, referral intake team, and schedulers, providing guidance and professional development.
• Deliver training and ensure competency of all staff and management team members in their respective roles.
• Maintain compliance with internal standard operating procedures and participate in regular reviews and updates to benefit patients and organizational objectives.
• Coordinate high-quality patient care by communicating care plans, responding promptly to patient inquiries, and facilitating timely visits for urgent needs.
• Offer clinical support and education to study coordinators, primary nurses, and treatment room nurses, serving as a preceptor for new staff.
• Develop and implement training programs to uphold internal quality standards and support compliance with clinical research protocols.
• Utilize process improvement techniques to identify and address workflow enhancements for patient care and organizational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication, regulatory compliance, and successful care delivery, while supporting the use of clinical documentation and data systems.
