Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research seeks a Director of Nursing to supervise clinic nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, referral intake team and schedulers. You will provide professional guidance, oversee training, ensure SOP compliance, and drive high-quality care across departments involved in oncology clinical research.

You will lead study coordination, ensure timely patient visits, and support staff with education and compliance, while coordinating across regulatory and QA functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and RN license in good standing.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate.
• Knowledge of GCP, GDPR and federal clinical research regulations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and clinical documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to nurses, infusion nurses, nurse navigators, schedulers and referral intake coordinators.
• Lead training and ensure competency of staff and management teams.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards across departments.
• Coordinate care plans and schedules with patients, enabling timely visits and communications.
• Support study coordinators and treatment room staff with clinical guidance and education.
• Develop training to support compliance with internal quality standards.
• Improve patient care workflows and data capture within CTMS and EHR systems.
• Oversee growth in enrollment and remove barriers to patient visits and referrals.
