Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred and maintains required competencies.
• If working in North Dakota or Minnesota and not a CNA, must be NA Registry as Nursing Assistant within four months from hire.
• In Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of RN or LPN.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments; record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Collect non-invasive specimens when needed; perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documenting care.
