Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Pre-licensure RN resident for the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Under RN supervision, you will provide age-appropriate care for a wide range of medical conditions.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, family education, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team. Training aligns with state guidelines and hospital policies across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing.
• No more than one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age appropriate needs.
• Develops a realistic, comprehensive patient/family education plan and provides health education.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation including processing of physician orders in accordance with policies.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Performs delegated tasks under the direction of the RN Preceptor and demonstrates competence.
