Job summary
Hartford Healthcare seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult oncology patients. You’ll conduct assessments, manage chemotherapy and supportive treatments, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and participate in survivorship and palliative care planning.

Qualifications
- Currently licensed as RN and APRN or PA-C certification (state-eligible).
- Board certification in oncology or related field preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience in hematology/oncology or inpatient oncology is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform oncology-focused histories and physical exams.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Develop and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and symptom-management plans under collaborative agreements.
- Prescribe medications and supportive treatments per scope and protocols.
- Monitor treatment response, manage toxicities, and adjust care plans.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, and side effects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other specialists.
- Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Contribute to survivorship, palliative, and end-of-life care planning.
