Job summary

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited nursing school and completion of an NP program.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing NP.
• Current RN state licensure and NP licensure in the practicing state.
• AOCNP preferred. BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced assessment skills to propose interventions based on evidence-based research.
• Prioritizes patient/family progress using a multidisciplinary approach.
• Provides culturally appropriate health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
• Coordinates evidence-based practice protocols and standards of care.
• Analyzes practice patterns and recommends evidence-based changes.
• Facilitates education programs and mentoring.
• Identifies educational needs and develops teaching materials.
• Serves as a clinical resource across the continuum.
• Evaluates protocols against current research findings.
• Disseminates research findings through practice or consultation.
• Lifts up to 5 lbs.; stands for long periods; can lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Adapts care to patient age, culture, language, and abilities.
