Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to join the Oncology and Leukemia team at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, NJ. You will work with oncologists/hematologists, manage day-to-day cancer patient care, and mentor nursing staff, APN students, and fellows.

The role emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care with opportunities for research and professional advancement within a respected academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate NP program with NLN/AACN accreditation and MSN/Doctorate.
• Oncology/Leukemia or Bone Marrow Transplant experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office / Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physicals, order and interpret tests, manage complex conditions.
• Prescribe medications and reconcile meds per NJ regulations.
• Coordinate care through daily rounds with physicians and hospital team.
• Mentor APNs and nursing staff; precept APN students.
• Engage in clinical research and promote APN practice recognition.
