Job summary

Hollings Cancer Center in Orangeburg, SC is seeking an advanced practice nurse or physician assistant to provide comprehensive oncology care, including urgent needs and infusion management. Applicants must be licensed or eligible as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with SC APRN/PA licensure and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Current South Carolina APRN or Physician Assistant licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• DHEC and DEA license applications started before first day, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate and treat patients using clinical findings and diagnostic test results within the applicable scope of practice.
• Provide care for oncology urgent needs and staff the rapid access clinic.
• Cover the infusion suite, oversee infusion nursing care, coordinate therapy initiation, review labs and sign infusion encounters.
• Triage infusion patient calls, address routine questions and refer complex concerns to a physician.
• Participate in tumor boards, team meetings, quality improvement, clinical research and regulatory activities.
