Job summary

University Medical Associates (UMA) in Charleston, SC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or APRN) to supervise infusion care, staff a rapid access clinic, and oversee oncology urgent-care coverage. The role offers a 40-hour week with day shifts and collaboration with MUSC physicians.

Applicants must hold PA or APRN licensure (or eligibility), with BLS and appropriate state credentials. Hematology/oncology infusion experience is preferred, and supervision by a MUSC physician is provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on history, exam, and tests under the practice guidelines.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with attending or collaborating physician.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided and ensures accurate charting.
• Contributes to quality improvement activities and clinical research.
• Coordinates infusion therapy, chemo, fluids, and other medications with infusion nurses.
• Rotates infusion suite coverage on weekends and holidays.
• Maintains required licenses, certifications, and CME credits as applicable.
