Job description

Onco360 is a unique Oncology Pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology, and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. Our Onco360 Pharmacy in Scottsdale, AZ has a need for an Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our growing team! The hours for this position will be 8:30-5 MST M-F. This position is remote, but you must live within commutable distance to our pharmacy location in Scottsdale, AZ.

Starting salary of $72K and above

The Oncology Nurse Navigator is a nursing professional who specializes in caring for people with cancer. This position provides professional services to oncology patients to maximize quality and safety. Responsibilities include coordinating care throughout the patient's cancer treatment, managing and counseling patients, and following established policies and procedures for Onco360 pharmacies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating with patients to help them understand their disease, treatment plans, and possible side effects
• Providing medication therapy management
• Assisting healthcare providers and patients, greeting them by phone, and answering questions
• Reviewing patients' medical and health history
• Communicating with patients and physician’s office staff
• Complying with professional practice and patient confidentiality laws
• Documenting adverse drug reactions per manufacturer guidelines
• Reporting medication errors to the pharmacy manager
• Documenting all communication with physicians or other healthcare providers
• Following up with patients and providers to monitor progress towards drug treatment goals

Oncology Nurse Navigator Position Qualifications:

Education/Learning Experience

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Desired: 1+ years’ experience in oncology

Work Experience

• Required: 1+ years in a healthcare setting
• Desired: 1+ years in a specialty pharmacy setting

Skills/Knowledge

• Required: compassion, good communication skills, critical thinking, adaptability, attention to detail
• Desired: clinical and/or case management experience

Licenses/Certifications

• Required: Current license as a registered nurse
• Desired: ONCC or ONS certification
• Required: compassionate, outgoing, and energetic attitude, multi-tasking ability, good listening skills
