Onco360 is a unique Oncology Pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology, and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. Our Onco360 Pharmacy in Houston, TX has a need for Oncology Nurse Navigators to join our growing team. Several weekend shifts are available, including: Wed-Sun, Thur-Mon, Fri-Tues, and Sat-Wed. The hours for all shifts are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. This position is remote, but you must reside within a commutable distance to our pharmacy location in Houston, TX.

Starting salary of $70K and above

The Oncology Nurse Navigator is a nursing professional specializing in caring for people with cancer. This role involves providing professional services to Oncology patients to maximize quality and safety of care. Responsibilities include coordinating various aspects of care throughout the patient's cancer treatment, managing and counseling patients, and adhering to established policies and procedures for Onco360 pharmacies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating with patients to help them understand their disease, treatment plans, and potential side effects
• Providing medication therapy management
• Assisting healthcare providers and patients via phone, answering questions and requests
• Reviewing patients' medical and health histories
• Communicating with patients and physicians' office staff
• Ensuring compliance with professional practice standards and patient confidentiality laws
• Documenting adverse drug reactions per manufacturer guidelines
• Reporting medication errors to the pharmacy manager
• Documenting all communications with physicians and healthcare providers
• Following up with patients and providers to monitor progress towards drug treatment goals

Oncology Nurse Navigator Position Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Desired: 1+ years of experience in oncology

Work Experience:

• Required: 1+ years in a healthcare setting
• Desired: 1+ years in a specialty pharmacy setting

Skills and Knowledge:

• Required: Compassion, good communication skills, critical thinking, adaptability, attention to detail
• Desired: Clinical and/or case management experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Required: Current RN license
