Job summary

The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institutes (OSUCCC-James) supports the Nurse Manager in leading a team to provide patient-focused care using the Nursing Professional Practice Model.

They assist in planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of care for designated areas on a 24-hour basis, fostering collaboration and quality outcomes across the Nursing Department.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required; Master's in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Two years of clinical experience in patient care setting required.
• Certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise; or certification must be achieved within the eligibility timeline.
• Leadership experience demonstrated in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations on a 24-hour basis.
• Support Nurse Manager by guiding and coaching patient care staff; ensure alignment with the Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Promote a healthy work environment and collaboration across departments and care teams.
• Contribute to ongoing operations of the Nursing Department and support quality patient outcomes.
