Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Staff Nurse - Oncology to provide direct patient care and lead licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. You will delegate tasks, apply the nursing process, and administer medications, including intradermal anesthetic for IV placement as needed.

You will also teach and mentor LPNs and support staff, verify competencies, serve as primary nurse and resource, and participate in administrative duties while maintaining clinical expertise.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year experience in area of specialty or completion of formal course within established timeframe.
• Active Hawaii RN license.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate to be obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients and families.
