Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and directs LPNs and nursing assistive personnel.
• Delegates nursing care according to guidelines and policies.
• Utilizes nursing process to deliver care.
• Administers medications as appropriate.
• Teaches LPNs and nursing assistive personnel tasks.
• Verifies staff competency for tasks.
• Acts as resource nurse, preceptor, and takes charge duties.
• Incorporates KP Vision, Model and Values in nursing practice.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
