Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking an APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to float among Suffolk/Nassau locations. Monday-Friday, 5/8.5 hour shifts, with patient-centered, multidisciplinary oncology/hematology care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Advanced Practice Licensure (APRN) or Physician Assistant license.
At least one year of Oncology/Hematology experience (helpful but not required).
Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.

Responsibilities

Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with state and federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
