Job summary
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a flexible APP to join our Oncology/Hematology team as a Float. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across multiple NYCBS locations in the Hudson Valley region.
Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning, and coordinating perioperative care while supporting pre/postoperative clinical needs. Monday-Friday 5/8.5 hour shifts ensure consistent patient support.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current APRN Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
- At least 1 year of Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
- Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
