Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join as a Float in Oncology/Hematology, supporting multiple Hudson Valley locations. You will manage health problems, perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate perioperative care with the team to improve patient outcomes and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least 1 year of Oncology/Hematology experience (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
