Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide oncology/hematology care at our Poughkeepsie & Fishkill locations. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with the team to optimize pre- and postoperative care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Licensure (APRN) or Physician Assistant license.
• At least 1 year of oncology/hematology experience preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with state and federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
