Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Elmhurst, NY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our oncology/hematology team. The role involves managing patient health problems, coordinating care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited NP or PA program with current licensure. Oncology/Hematology experience is preferred; EMR proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current APRN Licensure or Physician Assistant license.
At least 1 year of Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in line with regulations and nursing standards.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative care.
Deliver patient-centered care to improve outcomes and patient experience.
