Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to support RNs by performing basic patient care tasks, including glucose checks, ADLs assistance, and phlebotomy under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient rooms, attending in-services, and supporting a safe, compliant care environment. CPR certification is required or obtainable within 60 days, with tuition reimbursement and day-one benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to high school completion.
• Ability to read, write, and spell English and perform basic arithmetic.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within 60 days.
• Successful completion of EKG and Phlebotomy course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Take blood glucose measurements and record intake/output.
• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Perform ordered EKGs and phlebotomy duties per policy and training.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly; attend in-services and meetings.
