Job summary

NeoGenomics seeks a Technical Operations Scientist (MB ASCP) to advance diagnostic protocols, develop new methods, and drive automation in a fast-paced lab environment. The role may serve as Project Manager and supervise staff, ensuring timely data collection and project deliverables.

Responsibilities include mentoring technologists, leading development projects, validating plans, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required.
• Six or more years of equivalent experience (high complexity testing) preferred.
• Familiarity with CAP/CLIA and FDA (GCP or GLP) requirements.
• Nationally: ASCP certification for the assigned specialty, as available.
• CA: Current state license to perform laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and mentors laboratory staff in molecular techniques.
• Leads technical development projects and validates plans.
• Manages project timelines and coordinates sample/data collection.
• Drives project management processes from initiation to closure.
• Travel ~25% as needed.
