Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Kellogg Cancer Center in Evanston, IL seeks a Medical Social Worker (MSW) to join the interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on psychosocial assessments, emotional support, and coordinating resources to help patients receive cancer care.

Requirements include a Master's in social work and IL LCSW eligibility. Prior oncology experience is preferred. 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with no weekends; travel to Swedish Hospital Cancer Center as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Illinois licensure as LCSW or LCSW-eligible required.
• 2-3 years of social work experience in acute hospital setting; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments for cancer patients and families.
• Provide emotional support and short-term counseling.
• Educate patients on internal and community resources and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for referrals and care planning.
• Document clinical interventions promptly in medical records.
