Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Medical Science Liaison to engage with healthcare professionals and academic experts, supporting clinical trials and medical activities. The role focuses on hematologic malignancies in a field-based setting across a multi-state territory.

The candidate will bring clinical expertise, deliver scientific presentations, and collaborate with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations to address education needs and insights that shape medical strategy.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in a clinical/medical field (PharmD, PhD, MD), or a master's in advanced science/clinical/healthcare.
• Oncology, pharmaceutical industry, clinical or academic experience.
• 2+ years experience in human pharmacology/pharmacotherapy, preferably in an oncology clinical setting.
• Experience engaging in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with medical professionals and decision makers.
• Experience in delivering medical-based presentations.
• Ability to manage a multi-state territory with 60-75% travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage relevant healthcare professionals and accounts based on scientific expertise and market knowledge.
• Educate healthcare professionals on disease state, product information, and clinical trials; collect and communicate insights.
• Develop and execute strategic territory and engagement plans aligned with medical strategy.
• Act as a therapeutic area and GSK medicines resource for customers and internal colleagues.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to deliver medical solutions.
• Comply with policies, training, documentation and administrative responsibilities in a timely, compliant manner.
