Job summary

Crescent Biopharma in Waltham, MA, seeks a Medical Lead to provide clinical leadership across preclinical to clinical development for one or more oncology programs. You will own the medical strategy, design studies, and serve as the clinical face to investigators, partners, and internal teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities include developing development strategy and target product profile, leading early-phase studies, acting as medical monitor, contributing to regulatory

Qualifications

• MD (or equivalent) with clinical training in oncology, immuno-oncology, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in life sciences with oncology-focused medical oversight.
• Experience with antibody-drug conjugates or targeted biologics preferred.
• Proven track record in clinical drug development and trial design/execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clinical development strategy and target product profile for assigned program(s).
• Lead design, initiation, and execution of early-phase clinical studies and dose-escalation strategies.
• Act as medical monitor ensuring subject safety, high-quality data, and regulatory compliance (GCP).
• Interpret and communicate emerging data to internal/external stakeholders and contribute to reports/publications.
• Contribute clinical content for regulatory submissions (IND/CTA filings, amendments, briefing documents).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (nonclinical, translational, clinical operations, regulatory, PM, CMC).
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders and investigators to inform study design.
